Great Dog Daytime & Mid-Day Walks

Not every dog has the opportunity to join our daycare pack. Some dogs prefer a quieter environment, others have some social challenges that make it difficult to participate and some owners prefer to keep their dog at home. Whatever the limitations, dog's that stay at home benefit from enrichment as much as our daycare dogs do. By using our Great Dog Dog Walking Service, your dog will have a "secret" pal who comes in and enriches their lives. They look forward to that part of the day when their "favorite-person-other-than-mom/dad" comes in, bearing gifts, loves and a neighborhood outing. In addition to adding enrichment to homebound clients, daily dog walks give your pooch some structure to a normally boring day at home. If your dog is on the wait list for daycare, just want to supplement daycare packages or simply want to give your dog the joy of a regular walk to break up their day, consider our dog walking service! Our great dog walkers come to your home (in our service area) and take your pooch out for a mid-day neighborhood stroll. Great Dog Walkers are licensed and bonded. All of our staff are also trained as our daycare handlers, so they are fluent in animal first aid, pack dynamics and general care for dogs. Mid-Day walks take place weekdays (M-F) between 10:30am & 2pm from your home. Later times may be considered upon request. Due to the nature of scheduling, we cannot guarantee a specific time as our travel schedule varies by day and week. We also have reached our maximum capacity for "random" schedules. If you are seeking a specific time, we may accommodate your pup at an additional charge.

New to Great Dog, we are now offering a "Private Training" session with a Canine Education Professional. These half hour sessions are one on one with your pooch and one of our fantastic educators. Our Canine Educator will meet with you the first day to assess your needs and set up a schedule for your leash pullin' pooch. The half hour session includes the walk, some yummy treats and a bit of tutelage using humane and positive educational methods.

Service Area

Great Dog Walkers currently services the following Seattle communities: Northgate, Maple Leaf, Meadowbrook, Pinehurst, Victory Heights, and southeast Shoreline. Great Dog will drive east of I-5 to 35th, north of 55th & south of 145th.

Sorry, we do not service Broadview, Wallingford or provide evening walks at this time.

The Fine Print

Walking rates subject to change without notice.
Appts- Great Dog needs a minimum of 24 hour notice for dog walking. Short term or emergency walking may be requested for an additional fee and is subject to availability.
Cancellations-Great Dog needs to be notified a minimum of 24 hours notice in advance. Failure to do so will result in a full charge. If we don't hear from you the day before, we will be at your home at the time scheduled.
Great Dog reserves the right to refuse service to any dog we feel is unsafe or unable to walk or interact with our staff.
Dogs will be walked on flat 4-6ft leashes. We will not walk dogs on flexible, retractable leashes.
All dogs must be evaluated in your home, prior to visit walking visit.
Leash Pulling Private Walking Lessons are for one dog at a time. Additional dogs need to be scheduled for this unique service. Those individuals living outside our service area but are interested in our Leash Pulling private sessions are encouraged to email us. Additional travel charges may apply.
