Great Dog & Northgate Festival ~ Seattle's Pet Idol Contest                          

   
CONTEST VALID: Friday, July 25th, 2008 through Sept 6th, 2008 
 
HOW IT WORKS: 
·     All entries must be submitted by August 18th, 2008.  
 
Prize:
·        The chance to perform at the Northgate Festival, Main Stage and win prizes!
 
SPONSORS: Great Dog
 
Winners are responsible for all taxes associated with prizes.
Winners must claim prizes within 48 hours of notification.
 
 
THE FOLLOWING GENERAL RULES APPLY TO ALL FISHER RADIO SEATTLE CONTESTS:
 
ELIGIBILITY & LIMITATIONS:
 
1.      No purchase necessary. Contest subject to federal, state and local laws. Void where prohibited by law. Winner certifies he or she has read, understands and will abide by all contest rules.
 
2.      All contestants must be residents of Western Washington (Snohomish, Thurston, Kitsap, Island, Pierce, Mason, Jefferson, Skagit, Kittitas, Grays Harbor, Lewis, Cowlitz, Whatcom, San Juan, Clallam and King Counties).
 
3.      All well mannered animals are eligible to participate in this contest.
 
 
4.      Great Dog reserves the right to choose alternate winners if unable to contact any winner at the telephone numbers provided within 2 business days during business hours.
 
5.     Great Dog, the Northgate Festival, the Northgate Chamber of Commerce and sponsors are not responsible for telephone, cellular phone or Internet communications or damage to user’s system as a result of participating in the contest. Poorly connected or disconnected cellular phone calls may be disqualified. False or deceptive entries or acts will render entrants ineligible.
 
6.   Each winner further grants the Northgate Festival, Great Dog, contest sponsors and affiliates full permission and authority to use their name, likeness and/or voice in all forms of advertising without further compensation or permission.
 
7.      Any and all decisions made by the Great Dog & staff are final.
 
8.      Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not redeemable for credit or cash, are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and are non-endorsable. In the event a substitution for a prize may become necessary due to unavailability or circumstances beyond Great Dog's control, a prize of equal or greater value will be substituted at sole discretion of Great Dog and the Festival and any/all contest sponsors.
 
9.      Winner is required to complete an IRS Form W-9 and a Winner Release form before prize will be awarded. The W-9 and Winner Release will be sent to winner via mail, fax or email. The winner must bring the completed paperwork when claiming prize, or return it by fax/mail before prize will be awarded. Winners must return forms within two weeks of being notified that they have won a prize.  Winners can select one of two ways to receive prizes after completed paperwork is received: A) Prize will be mailed via the United States Postal Service. Great Dog nor the Festival are not responsible for prizes that are lost, stolen, misdirected, or damaged; or B)  Prize may be picked up in person at Great Dog Shoppe (11333 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle, WA 98125)by calling 206/526.1101 ext 206 to schedule an appointment for pick-up.  An appointment must be made if winner chooses to pick-up prize at Great Dog will not be available without an appointment.
 
10. The winner (or winner’s guardian) agrees to pay all expenses, taxes & fees not included in the prize. Great Dog  will report to the government any winnings totaling over $600 (in cash or fair market value) in a one year period. Winner will recieve an IRS Form if any earnings are reported and are responsible for payment of all taxes on any prize(s).
 
11. Employees of Great Dog and the Northgate Festival., participating vendors, affiliates, their dependents and immediate families, as well as employees of contest Sponsors, independent contractors, etc, and employees are not eligible to participate or win.
 
12. Participants waive any and all claims against Great Dog; Northgate Festival, Northgate Chamber of Commerce., their affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents, and their “Sponsors” for injuries, damages or losses related to the contest.
 
13. Due to weather events of the day, or any reason beyond the reasonable control, Great Dog reserves the right to post-pone or cancel a contest without notice, at which point, the contest prize may be awarded at a future date at Great Dog's discretion.
 

 


Auditions are Saturday, Aug 23 at Great Dog and contestants must be pre-registered to audition.  Every contestant will be requested to showcase their pet's talent within a maximum of 2 minutes.

Once submitted, we will email your time slot when we are closer to the event.   Please arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to your audition time slot.


 

 

Rules:

All pets must be accompanied by a handler, and contained in a carrier or restrained with a leash (dogs only).  You are responsible for your pet's actions and will clean up and maintain a healthy distance between all creatures. 

Animals will not be left in cars, especially since it is a warm time of year. 

All auditions will be a maximum of two minutes.  Any performance going over the allotted time restriction will be kindly cut off.

Photos and videos taken at Great Dog are property of Great Dog and may be used in publications, media and online to promote the Festival and/or Great Dog.
